If you are using an older version of macOS, update it from System Settings → General → Software Update. QwenWork cannot run on versions earlier than macOS 14.

After a new installation, QwenWork guides you through the sign-in process. You can sign in with an existing account or register a new one using an email address or a supported third-party account.
Returning users will not see this page. QwenWork preserves your sign-in session, restores previous tasks, and opens the main workspace directly.
The account area is always located in the lower-left corner of the window. Click your profile picture to open a menu containing:
QwenWork is a standalone application. There is no need to switch to a QwenWork tab inside another product. After signing in, you are taken directly to the main workspace, with the navigation sidebar on the left.
The sidebar provides access to commonly used features:
QwenWork checks for new versions in the background by default. When an update is available, a notification appears in the lower-right corner or menu bar.
The update is downloaded and installed only after you confirm. QwenWork will not replace the current version without your approval.
To check immediately, select QwenWork → Check for Updates from the macOS menu bar.
To uninstall QwenWork completely:
This removes local task history that has not yet been synchronized to the cloud. If you are concerned about account information remaining on the device, sign out from the account menu before uninstalling.

Installation
Download the Installer
Visit qwenwork.ai and click macOS to download the latest .dmg installer.
The macOS installer differs by processor architecture, but both versions provide identical functionality. Select the version that matches your Mac:
- ARM64 — Apple Silicon: For Macs with M-series chips.
- X64 — Intel: For Macs with Intel processors.
Install the Application
- Double-click the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Drag the QwenWork icon onto the Applications folder shortcut.
- Wait for copying to complete.
- Eject the disk image from the Finder sidebar to prevent it from mounting again after startup.
/Applications/QwenWork.app. Consider pinning it to the Dock for convenient access.
Launch QwenWork for the First Time
Open QwenWork from Launchpad, the Applications folder, or Spotlight by pressing ⌘ + Space and entering QwenWork.
When you launch it for the first time, Gatekeeper may display the following message:
“QwenWork.app cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.”Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the QwenWork warning, and click Open Anyway. This step is required only once.
Signing In

Entering the QwenWork Workspace
QwenWork is a standalone application. There is no need to switch to a QwenWork tab inside another product. After signing in, you are taken directly to the main workspace, with the navigation sidebar on the left.
The sidebar provides access to commonly used features:
- New Task: Start a new task.
- Expert Kits / Skills / Connectors: Install additional AI capabilities.
- Scheduled Tasks: Run tasks on a recurring schedule.
- IM Channels: Collaborate through chat-based channels.
- Tasks / Channels: View and return to previous work.

- Open Finder → Applications and drag QwenWork to the Trash.
