Organization Settings

Configure organization-wide settings and policies.

1. What you can do

In Organization settings, you can:
  • view and change the organization name;
  • view and copy the organization ID;
  • set the organization contact email; and
  • choose shared improvement mode or privacy mode for organization data.
The organization contact email and privacy management are available only to organization super admins.

2. Change the organization name

  1. Find Organization name under Basic information.
  2. Select the edit button.
  3. Enter the new organization name.
  4. Select the save button.
The organization name helps members identify their workspace. Confirm the change internally first so members do not mistake it for a different organization. An empty organization name cannot be saved.

3. View and copy the organization ID

The organization ID is the organization's unique identifier in Qwen Work. Support staff or an enterprise system integration may ask for it.
  1. Find Organization ID under Basic information.
  2. Select the copy button.
  3. Paste the ID where it is needed.
The organization ID is not a password, but it should still be shared only with people who have a business need.

4. Set the organization contact email

The contact email receives organization notifications and can be changed only by an organization super admin. If no contact email has been set, a reminder appears at the top of the Admin console.

Change the email

  1. Find Organization email under Basic information.
  2. Select the edit button.
  3. Enter the new organization contact email.
  4. Select Get verification code.
  5. Open the new mailbox and find the six-digit code.
  6. Enter the code on the page.
  7. Select Confirm change.
The verification code is sent to the new email address, not the old one. After the change succeeds, organization notifications are sent to the new address.

Choose a suitable contact email

  • Use a long-term shared business mailbox, such as it-admin@example.com.
  • Avoid a personal mailbox owned by someone who may leave or change responsibilities.
  • Confirm that the mailbox can receive external messages from Qwen Work.
  • Record the mailbox owner in your organization's internal documentation.

5. Set the data-sharing mode

Privacy management is visible only to organization super admins.

Shared improvement mode

When this mode is on, organization members' prompts, context, and related usage data may be collected and used to improve products and services.

Privacy mode

In privacy mode, organization data is not used for product improvement. It is used only to provide and personalize the current service.

Switch modes

  1. Check the current mode under Privacy management.
  2. Select the mode switch.
  3. Wait for the page to confirm that the change succeeded.
  4. Check again that the intended mode is shown.
This organization-wide setting affects all members. Complete any internal privacy, compliance, and data-governance review before changing it.

7. Troubleshooting

The verification code does not arrive

  • Check the email spelling and spam folder.
  • Confirm that the organization's email gateway is not blocking external messages.
  • Wait for the countdown to finish before requesting another code.
  • Do not request several codes in quick succession. Use the latest valid code received.

The email edit button is missing

Only an organization super admin can change the contact email. A team admin can only view it.

Privacy management is missing

This section is visible only to super admins of enterprise organizations. Confirm the current workspace and your account role.

The organization name cannot be saved

Confirm that the name is not empty, then refresh the page and try again. If it still fails, record the error message and contact support.

The organization ID cannot be copied

The browser may not allow clipboard access. Select the organization ID and copy it manually.
