Extension

Extend QwenWork with skills and connectors.

Overview

Extensions is QwenWork’s capability resource center. Here, you can find and install resources that help QwenWork perform more specialized tasks or connect to external platforms, accounts, data, and tools. Extensions currently offers two types of resources:
  • Skill: A predefined, specialized workflow for a particular type of task, such as content creation, data analysis, or information organization. You can think of a skill as a professional tool for QwenWork.
  • Connector: A resource that connects QwenWork to external platforms, accounts, data, or tools. Some connectors require additional configuration or account authorization after installation.

Browsing and Finding Resources

Click Extensions in the sidebar on the application homepage to browse the available resources. You can find resources in the following ways:
  • Switch between the Skills and Connectors tabs.
  • Select an industry or topic category to filter resources.
  • Enter a name or keyword in the search box. Search supports partial keyword matching, and results appear in real time.
  • Click a resource card to open its details page and review its description and related information.

Installing and Using Resources

Installing a Resource

  1. Find the Skill or Connector you need in Extensions.
  2. Click its resource card to open the details page and review the information.
  3. Click the installation or usage option to add the resource to QwenWork.
  4. After installation, you can find the resource under My Installations or in the Add Resources list in the main chat box.

Using Resources in a Conversation

After installation, you can use a resource in the following ways:
  • Select it manually from the Add Resources list in the main chat box, then describe your task.
  • Describe your requirements directly in the conversation. QwenWork will use an appropriate installed resource when needed.
  • Some skills provide predefined task inputs. After clicking Use, follow the prompts to provide the required information and quickly start the task.
Usage varies by resource type:
  • Skills: Usually available for immediate use after installation.
  • Connectors: You may need to enter required parameters or authorize an external account before using them.
Follow the on-screen instructions during authorization or configuration. Specific requirements depend on the external service being connected.

Managing Installed Resources

Open My Skills/Connectors to view and manage your installed Skills and connectors.

Modifying an Installed Resource

If an installed resource’s default capabilities do not fully meet your needs, you can customize it for a specific task:
  1. Open My Installations, find the resource, and open its details page.
  2. Open its editing or configuration section.
  3. Modify the task instructions, usage requirements, or other editable content as needed.
  4. Save your changes, select the resource from the main chat box, and describe the task you want to complete.
Your changes apply only to your installed copy. They do not modify the original resource in Extensions or automatically share your changes with other users. Editable options vary by resource; refer to the options displayed on the page.

Sharing a Resource

From a resource’s details page, you can copy its link and share it with others. When recipients open the link, QwenWork opens automatically and allows them to install the resource.
Note: The shared link points to the resource’s details page in Extensions. It does not include your personal modifications, account settings, or authorization information.

Enterprise Space

Enterprise Space is an internal resource collaboration area for enterprise subscribers. Enterprise members can create or upload skills and other resources designed for their organization, then share them internally so team members can find and use them consistently. Resources in Enterprise Space are shared only within the current enterprise organization. They are not automatically published to the public Extensions marketplace. Whether members can create, upload, view, or use resources depends on the capabilities enabled for the enterprise and each member’s organizational permissions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn’t an installed resource used automatically in conversations?

Installing a resource adds it to QwenWork’s available resources, but does not automatically enable it in every conversation. Select it manually from the Add Resources list or explicitly ask QwenWork to use it for your task.

Why can’t I use a connector after installing it?

Some connectors require additional parameters or authorization for an external account. Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm that the connector is ready before trying again.

What should I do if I cannot find the resource I need?

Try using a shorter keyword, searching with part of the resource name, or selecting the correct resource type and category before searching again.

Will sharing a resource expose my account or settings?

No. Sharing provides only a link to the resource’s details page in Extensions. It does not include your personal modifications, account settings, or authorization information.

Why can’t I see Enterprise Space?

Enterprise Space appears only when the relevant requirements are met. Availability generally depends on whether the enterprise has enabled the feature, the account type, and the user’s organizational permissions. Contact your enterprise administrator for assistance.

Are resources in Enterprise Space published to the public Extensions marketplace?

No. Resources created or uploaded by enterprise members are shared only within the current enterprise organization. They are not automatically made public or published to the public Extensions marketplace.

Can individual users upload or publish their own skills?

The current version does not allow individual users to upload or publish custom skills to the public Extensions marketplace. Depending on their organizational permissions, enterprise users can upload and share internal resources through Enterprise Space.

Why can’t I access DingTalk data through AI conversations after signing in to QwenWork with my DingTalk account?

Signing in to QwenWork with a DingTalk account does not automatically grant access to DingTalk data. You must first connect DingTalk through a Connector before you can retrieve internal DingTalk data through AI conversations.
